Episode 1 – Run Mama Run

RMR Ep 1Episode 1 of “Run Mama Run” was one of the toughest to film and is still one of the hardest to watch.  While those who truly knew us and knew our intent, approach and purpose showered us in support, those who don’t, sometimes didn’t; And often times could be downright ugly.  We faced that negativity head-on when it was unavoidable and, together, persevered through some harsh and hurtful criticisms.

We never doubted that what we were doing was the right thing for us and our baby.  We also don’t doubt that other women will not have this journey … and that is OK!  They should find a way to make their pregnancy and life an enjoyable experience for them.  Yes, it will have difficulties and complications, but that’s what makes the sweet stuff even sweeter.

I could not be more proud of Sarah for her strength and conviction throughout this time.  Her tenacity is one of her most impressive traits and I am lucky to have her as my wife and #1 role model for Abigail.

  2. I can’t comment on Instagram because I don’t have an account but I think you should frame the picture of you holding your daughter while wearing your Olympic trials bib…that is the stuff multiple dreams are made of. Neither you nor she should ever forget it.
I’m no one in your life, just a fan, and although I am sorry your Olympic dream didn’t come true this year, I am so proud of you for trying and showing that yes, you can do it all.

  3. I would love to watch your documentary but none of the links are working. Any idea how to watch? I am inspired! I’m 24 weeks pregnant and attempting to keep up my recreational runs.

    • Hi Anne! First of all, congrats on your pregnancy. Good news … the videos will be back tomorrow. They had to be removed during the Olympic media blackout period, but will be re-posted tomorrow, along with the final episode, ep. 5. I have a new post going live tomorrow that talks about some of the topics in the 5th episode, so give it a look and click through to watch any of the videos in the series. All the best!
